In my opinion, the single best kayak lure for monster bass and weakies in the NE. On Carl's site is a video about the basics. We don't see or hear of them much in the southern half of NJ, but it's ALL you will see on approx 80% of NE kayaks.
262 anglers at JBay 2009. I'd say 250 were prolly using a Tube-N-Worm. I can't wait for the spring cows to move in and give these guys a real Cape May Trial.

I spent the day Friday in Long Island and caught up with Carl for a bit. He has some new tube-n-worms coming out and I can't wait to give em a try. Carl's tubes are also part of the kayak fishing magazine rewards program. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Don't wait until JBay!

You can't go wrong with the 18" wine colored worms. It's def the lure of choice. The 18" pink is awesome for weakies but the wine works for them too. The video will explain leader options and rigging tips. I carry a min of 3 with me at all times.

Yeah they have black and a new smelly worm that is interesting. they are a little expensive so plan on PBR beer at the BBQ after our outing ... LOL
Also what lb leader are you using? Thanks for posting this information it is very helpful. And as you can probably guess im love to be geared out!!!

40# to 50# leader approx 3' long. You want swivels at both ends of the leader as well. You'll see the corkscrew action in the vid, your line is also twisting and will become a mess.
Rod....snap swivel....barrel swivel....3' leader....snap swivel....tube-n-worm which also has another barrel swivel built in. No cheap s*&$ either. These worms get hammered!
