| I took a couple hours off to take advantage of the weather window. Only fished about 45 minutes before I got the call to pick up the kids. Good check out run though, got my gear set up, checked the FF and batt, etc. I'd like to get a few freshwater species before the salt starts up next month. Maybe next week, forecast says temps in the 50's | |

| I just signed up for KFW and it looks like you need three anglers to make up a team. Any oppenings down there at the Cape? I fish Freshwater on the Susquehanna in Pa, and around Ocean City and Barnagate in NJ. Where I have family. | |

| Good to hear you've been getting out. I went to fish the Susky flats with Mullet Miller last Friday and caught the skunk. I did catch a 2011 Toyota Camry though. I wonder what that'll score in Kayak Wars??? I took a week off and plan to go for Striper and Toatog on Wed or Thurs. Going to break the Torque in.
They're around Larry. Spinfisher Bob is whackin' 'em in his hiding spot and Captiva and the boys from KFA-NY are starting to find em too. I really want to give those guys a run for their money this year. Fish are showing up in JBay already too.
If you can make the Flats on Apr 15-17 there is about 30 of us going down. No agenda, just an adventure that Mullet Miller put together. They are into them pretty heavy this week.

| Picked up a 24" bass for KW last night. If it wasn't for this one dock light in Oyster Creek, I'd have nothing for the year. I cant get away to fish the flats. I'm either going out at night, or doing quickies between commitments. I'll likely take thur 4-7 off to do some painting. Have a feeling I'll be done around noon. Coincidentally, high tide at the mantoloking bridge is around 2:45. On the sunny days, they're doing well with the flounder. If anybody wants to give this a try, let me know. Good spots are right off the launch. Lots of fish that would be KW records are being caught, up to 19". The southern teams have access to fish that we never see, it would be nice to cash in on the few that we have exclusively. | |

| Adding 9 Tautog to Kayak Wars. JonS and I hit Cold Spring Jetties this morning with Clamboni. Jon had a 30" Striper and 11 Tog. Clamboni had 1 or 2 Tog (he got there a bit late) All Tog were 3-6 lbs and a blast to catch from the kayaks! All fish were released at the jetty except the bass. He is being released into Crisco Bay. | |

| Chris, awesome job on the tog, and man do we need the points. Our northern neighbors are starting to hit em hard. I'm going out tomorrow sunrise for bass/blues on topwater, hope to add a few more | |

| We are fishing Cape May hard for Fluke, Tog, Weakies and Bass Sat and Sun. I hope to add several more points. JBay next week will hopefully grab us "Bonus sized" fish for points. Good luck Larry! | |

| Nice! You guys have been fishing with a vengence this month . . . . everytime I go on KW, I see yakinfool and Chris putting up points . . . . you weren't kidding about this being your prime time before the summer.
No drum yet? | |

| Nah Captiva, not for a lack of trying though. We fished really hard for the Drum all week and they just aren't finished humpin their little drummin heads off yet. Their usually done the spawn and start feeding now. We marked them all over super thick, they just aren't feeding. I have some charter boat buddies that are going to keep me in the loop as to when the bite starts.
All those sharks came from drummin. Might as well make lemonade out of them lemons for KW???
Btw, every time I come home excited to add points and catch KFA, I see that you put a ton of points up too. This is going to be a race this year!

| Yep, the competition is pretty good again this year . . . . just hoping one of us knocks out those VA guys who formed a "super team" - LOL!
It is great to see the northern teams and anglers start to run away and catch up with the southern guys.
We were still pretty far behind at this point last year, but caught up by the middle of the summer and started to roll in the fall and early winter. . . . you guys are making a great run too.
BTW - got the prizes this week from last year and they were really good - including an awesome Hobie dry top. . . . and plenty of goodies for the team prize too.

| Many of the new england teams seem to have given up, it is tough to keep up when you basically have one fish (stripers) to catch. At least the flounder are in this year after being absent for a long, long time. | |
