| All,
Looking for some rigging projects for my yak and was thinking about adding an anchor. What are your thoughts to an anchor? useful or pain in the arsh? |

| I added an achor trolley to to my yak for both anchoring and for using a stake out pole. I like to anchor or stake out when I am fishing for fluke and the wind is spinning me in circles. Also, if you can find an area with bass popping in the flats i like to stake out as well. |

| You have a couple of options on stake on poles. Store bought are prolly the best, but can run 70.00. Kickintail makes some awesome custom jobs for much less and their real purdy too! That's what I use. You can pm him if you like.
You really just need something sturdy like an expandable paint roller handle.
I hope that the fish in your pic is a halibut, because if it's a fluke, you just beat the hell outta my 29"! You should post it under the record fish section. Congrats on that beauty! |

| Oh Man! I wish that was a fluke... That is a halibut! Its one of the biggest fish I have ever taken. Wish I had caught it but I speared it in about 20ft of water back in Southern CA. It made some amazing fish tacos. Now help me replace that pic with a big bass.LOL |

| i used one with my outback and installed one on my pa but never uesd it. wen u need it its nice to have one. i got the hobie one and the hobie anchor the sock and the anchor fit in the anchor bag together |
