Fished the area around the train bridge in the manasquan from 5:30-9:00 am. Almost low tide, dirty water, didn't look good. The fish didn't care. They were scattered, but were hitting baitfish on the surface here and there. Picked up 4 bass and 2 blues on poppers and swimmers. When the tide slowed, tried for Tog. A slow pick of small tog and trash fish first. When the tide went slack at dead low it was on! Caught 6 in 30 minutes that went 13"-14.5". Kept my one fish for lunch. Would have stayed on them but the wife wanted me back home. I was gonna try my luck at Nummy and fish with a few of you, but the last minute reports discouraged me. How did everybody do?

Very Happy Very Happy Glad to hear that you got on some fish. Very Happy Very Happy

The best report I can offer is that we should have been fishing up there with you. It was dirty and blowing a gale!

We caught steady SeaBass, Smooth Doggies, and short Fluke. Seaflea was the star this weekend with his 18" fat Fluke.
