| Hey, good luck to you guys down there. Stay safe, I see that they have a mandatory evacuation in Cape May. This storm is huge, I just hope it vears off to the east and doesn't have a landfall on the Cape. It doesn't look good up north here either, the rain amounts they're calling for and the ground already saturated will definitely have flooding. Severe thunderstorm, earthquake, and now this in one week | |

| Thanks Rich. You too! It's not the winds that we're worried about down here. It's the tidal surge. The worst ever recorded was 9'3" when the bay met the ocean in 1962. The BEST case scenario for this is 9' to 12'. Wildwood will be gone, gone, gone!
The good news is I spent all day eating all of the food that would have gone bad in the fridge. The hell with my diet!!!

| It's 1:00 AM and we made it so far in Gloucester County. A few spotted tornados and some minor flooding at this point. Hope you folks near the shore are OK | |

| Hope everyone fared okay. I was without power for 24 hours, but had my 2 Torque batteries and my inverter running lights and movies. My food held out and I didn't need to eat the dog.
NJ OEM made a good call with the evec. People keep commenting on the news and online about the "Category" and the "wind speed" which has nothing to do with the evac. Its the flooding that takes lives. Had the storm not picked up speed overnight, it would have hit Cape May County at high tide and there would have been nothing standing. We really lucked out.
Good luck NY. hey are reporting surges of 40' near fresh water tributaries and 14' in the salt.

| Sounds like everyone was OK. Had some major flooding of Mantua Creek by my house. Neighbors on the street that parallels the creek took on some serious water. tmtfield-where in GC are you? | |

KJV I am on Main St in Mantua. I saw what Mantua Creek did to many residents and my heart goes out to them. Here are a few pics I grabbed today [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
