| I spoke with Al (Yakman) last night. He had said that Carl 4x4 is coming down for the day too. Good news for the new Tube-n worm guys. You can learn from Carl himself. | |

| Sorry 'bout that. I saw a butterfly mid thought and was following it. Still licking windows from time to time as well.
I like to use a 3' leader (fluoro or whatever) 20-30#
The bobber is one you'll need to be able to see 30' to 50' away 1.5" diameter ish
Circle or J hooks big enough to land 12lb weaks & 15-30lb Bass but small enough to bait bloodworms and Grass Shrimp.
Bigger Blues just got here too. 30" bad boys in Bunker schools

| Not big into drowning bait....I prefer trolling or tossing lures. Preferences this time of year? I got a pretty full lure bag as I can never stop in a shop and not buy a lure. Many unused and just waiting for the right time/presentation! I also have a full load of Karl's tubes I just got in the mail. What's the departure time? Better start cutting down the gasket on my dry top now to be ready! | |

I was trying to ask what might work best this time of year in the artificial tackle department. If I am looking the wrong way...then I'll go bait, I just like fooling fish.

| You're not the only one Scraper! I can't stand fishing with bait. However, in the spring when the water is still cool, the fish are slow and lazy. Sometimes bait is the key. I prefer to bucktail or plug most of the time. (depending on my target fish)
For artificials I would recommend bucktails 3/8 - 1/2 oz with a variety of softs to try. Swims like rebel, bomber, yo-zuri etc. You wanna look like a bunker. Maybe some Storms?

| Okay boys...I'll bring some hooks as well I guess. Gonna see if I can get my guy's parents place in Sea Isle for the weekend to alleviate drive time. Nothing better than waking up and being there. I'll keep up on this thread thru the week. Not to mention I need some wings and french onion soup from Charlies in Somers Point! | |

If I am there...done deal! Want some cold fries to boot? Yesterday's used to have the best wings, but Charlies has it hands down now. This is coming from an upstate NY transplant. Kinda like buying a cheesesteak in San Fran!

| For the GPS drivers out there.....
997 Ocean Drive Cape May, NJ 08204
This is the address of Lund's fisheries at the foot of the bridge. It is the opposite side of the launch, but it's the closest address I could find. There is no toll from Cape May to Wildwood if your coming from the parkway.

| Dang it! I am out. As the owner of a landscape business I was hoping for a nice drizzle Saturday, but with threat of rain Sunday, Monday, Tuesday...I can't afford to lose a day. If mulching season was over, I'd just let my guys handle things, but way too busy right now. I guess that isn't a bad thing considering, but boy do I want to fish! Hope you guys catch'em up! | |

I am a Newbie to artificial striper fishing and trying to learn as much as possible, any advice would be great as this saturday is going to be a shoot out...
