Rob,
Bucktails aren't exactly a "go-to" lure for me so take this for what it's worth...
I only have two color "add-ons" - white & chartreuse... But(!) I only have white & chartreuse bucktails so even if I'm having a blood-shot day color coordination is usually easy!!

LUNCHBOX/SJFW - y'all packin' anchors or drift socks for Saturday? OR neither???

Thanks,
Charlie

Both actually. On the anchor for tautog. I don't think I'll use a sock,
but hell it's light enough to bring.

Rob- I like 3/8 oz white bucktails. Don't worry about buying any rubber
I have plenty here for you to try.

Great day and a lot of fun. Very nice to meet Skip, Rob, and Jon!
We had our own parade of 7 kayaks cruising through the Cape May inlet
and rounding the jetty. The weather was perfect!

The tautog action was red hot. I ended up with a 16 1/2 inch tautog
and LUNCHBOX had one 17" even. Larger fish were being caught, but we
were beat to the spot by those guys with motors. :x

BigBlue had a keeper size bass up to the grippers when it pulled a
Houdini on him. He had a second at 26" that stuck around for a brief
photoshoot that was tagged as well!

SeaFlea ended up with a 5lb Morkie named Briar. My wife's puppy that cried
at my front door for a half hour after he left.

I shot a short video of porpoise swimming up to YAKMAN and briefly
checking him out before going their own way.

Those with fish finders that work (GRRRRR) were marking fish everywhere
but for some reason, the overall bite was slow.

A great day with friends out on the water, laughing, BSing, and
sharing a day that will become, this one day in Cape May.

I'd like to start planning a trip for the weekend after JBay for Bass and maybe
Drum. Say May 22 or 23?

See ya'll at JBay!!!

Had a blast guys! A beautiful day on the water. Sunburned neck, but well worth it! Also, if anybody feels like sending those elusive bass a little personal message, just let me know, I'll give you my phone number. My phone sits somewhere along the base of that jetty! A little reminder to the fish gods, We'll be back! Thanks guys, hope to see you all soon!

WOW!!! What a great day. I learned so much from this crew from that one outing i can't even wait to make my new modifications and get back out.

TUBE N WORMS- KICK A$$! They really do hit that lure hard, was in shock after that 1st fish smashed that worm. I spent at least a hundred bucks on additional tackle but i only used the tube n worm the entire day. LOVE IT!!!! In fact i might get the 24 incher and wear it as a necklace...LOL

Hear are some the pictures i took. Yak Man made me kiss the bass, i think i liked it and it may be my new thing... :affraid:

Lunch Box your the man!!! Only man i know who has a "Kayak" with a 25 gallon cooler full of beers strapped to the back.... HERO is your new Name! Thanks again for letting me take your boat out for a spin. I was amazed at the room and comfort and must admit a lil jealous. That baby is like the Viking Sport Fisher of the kayak fleet.

Sea Flea your JBay bathroom stories and experience gave Jon an I long hard laughs on our way home. I think were going to be buds!

Al "YakMan" you da man!!! Felt like my dad was out there with me helping me with my 1st fish. lol! Made it great!!! Looking forward to our next paddle.... ALL ABOUT THE CLICKER!!!

Whisper- really appreciate all the advise and help with tackle and gear leading up to my 1st run out in ocean. Fish or no fish i can't wait to paddle again!!!!

All of you guys send me a PM with your cells and email, I will as well!!!

Rob
