Kipto Time

A few of us are trying to organize a trip to Kipto Park in Va on Tuesday, Nov 30th - Friday, Dec 3rd. The more, the merrier (and the cheaper)Big Bass are the game of choice! For us northern folk, we will be on the first ferry from Cape May Tues morning.

If we get enough people interested, we can rent a cabin for the week. It holds 16 and people can come and go as they wish and as schedules will allow. Just an option......

Kipto take 2......


Now, we are trying for a weekend run. We are thinking Friday, Dec 17th - Sunday, Dec 19th.

The campground itself is ridiculously cheap because they allow groups and it's "out of season".
For us southern NJ folk, the Ferry is the expensive part of the trip. Again, the more the merrier
and the cheaper!!!

I'm off the 2nd week in december. Looking to head down the weekend before (11th-13th). If that doesn't workout I'll go with ya all.

Plans are starting to firm up for the 17th. We have been getting some reports from down there that are very encouraging! The more the more better, LMAO!

Waterbug and I are planning on hittin' it the 10th-12th. IF weather and fish AREN'T co-opin'.......we'll be heading down the following weekend as well!

The Powerboats are hittin' 'em around the CBBT High-Rise on Eels.....so I'm sure Cows are around the Ships but no one has been able to get out due to wind!

Water Temps around 53 average today.....lookin' for some high 40's for the week prior to going

Mike, I sent you a PM. Good luck down there fellas. Budget has me only making one trip before Xmas. Catch 'em up!

Thanks SJ! If Weather isn't on for us we'll be going the next Weekend I guess! I'm watchin' Reports and Water-Temps now for the "Start". Only a few thus far but my Bud down there is gettin' out consistently and is keeping me informed! The "Chatter" is beginning on "other Forums" ;)

Water-Temps have settled into the "Range" for good fishing as of last night.....these temps bring the in-flux of Fish around the Ships.........."IF" the Temps stay fairly constant AND the Weather and Wind CO-OP NEXT Weekend....it should be "Good Fishing"

I watched the vids and they are good! I hope that our trip planned for the 17th doesn't fizzle and the weather cooperates!

Water Temps are coming in......Fish are being landed....and THIS Friday has Winds outta' the NE forecasted at around 10

I passed by there on my way to and back from the Outer Banks. Saw Dolphins swimming near the shor line as I passed over the Chesapeake bay bridge tunnel.

I'm interested gotta see how my schedule pans out but I'm at a firm "maybe" ha.

I just stoped in to check it out last week and it looks like a primo spot. Was planning to go down when our striper season starts to wind down so ...Im in! Post the deets when all is decided

The water temps have now dipped into the 40's. It's gonna be game on any day now. The weather looks good for the weekend. If I see any reports come in I'm going to hit the road. If not then I will be there the 2nd week in December for vacation.
