SI shamrock = newbie

Hello all! This is Mike from the other side of raritan bay. (Staten Island). I am new to kayak fishing and hope to pick up some good info from the more experienced yakers. I fish from a pelican eclipse. I know not the best yak but I really wanted to get on the water and it fit the bill. I'm getting it rigged slowly but surely. Stripers, fluke and blues are my targets. Went for my first sleigh ride courtesy of the blue in my avatar and am now totally hooked on yak fishing! Glad to be on the forum. Thanks!

Welcome to the forum! We fish the Bay a few times a year. Hopefully we can wet a line together soon.

One of my new favorite kayaks is a Pelican/Elie Horizon 130 Angler. I've been using that a lot lately and it's a fast kayak. I'm becoming a Pelican/Elie fan myself!
