| Hey, I'm new to kayak fishing and to this site. I look forward to getting to know you and learn from you all. I have a NuCanoe12 and have been out on it 3 times so far. I can't believe how much fun this kind of fishing is! A little about myself...I live in Mount Ephraim, NJ. I grew up in South Jersey and fished predominantly salt water most of my life. I'm married with 2 daughters who I love to take fishing as well (hence the NuCanoe - it is mad versatile). In 2005 we moved to Mesa, AZ but moved back here in Dec. of 2009. I got interested in kayak fishing after talking with some buddies who do it and also because I love getting out in the back bays (have yet to do this in the yak yet) and am learning freshwater fishing. I want to get out in the fresh stuff a few more times to get the hang of this better before trying a back bay striper trip. | |

| Welcome to the site and to the dark side (kayak fishing)
We post outings and meetups here regularly. Feel free to jump right in and come out and have some fun. I know absolutely nothing about fishing the fresh water and would like to learn. Maybe we'll get out one day. | |

| Awesome, I'm always up for joining up (Fridays are my best day). I am hoping to get out for some back bay striper next Friday in the North WW area and hit the incoming - any suggestions on where to launch and is anyone else up for joining me maybe as it will be my first yak in the salt. | |

| Nwwd has a couple of good launches. 5th street marina and both ends of Nummy Island. You can Google Maps Nummy. Also, I'll be adding Cape May County launches to the KFM Launch Map all day today for the Cape May Jamboree. You should look into this for launches; [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] | |

| BLTAL59, Yes there is a little launch area at Haddon Lake. It can be good fishing at times, but does get A LOT of pressure. As for trout, they stock it for opening day and it is good on that day and then ok for a week or two, but after that have not heard of trout being caught. As for bass there are some decent ones in there, but again lots of pressure. I have done well in spring and starting catching a few recently. I usually have Fridays off and am up for fishing in fresh or salt. Went to Parvin today and got 3 (not bad for a freshwater nubie). Let me know if you want to get out (I have a lot to learn)

| Sure will. Im also off on fridays but have alot of OT shifts coming up.Will check back when im free.Greenwich lake is set for stocking ont he 19th which should put those trout on the feed that friday after the norm 2 days acclimation period.Altho i think they only open the gates on weekends but u can paddle the creek around to the main lake if you dont have a cart.I think haddon gets a winter stocking if it doesnt get one in the fall.I tend to steer away from the general population so im not familiar w/good lakes for LMB in camden county(usually head in the opposite direction) As far as saltwater I usually hit brigantine back bays launching from the inlet beach(have 4x4permit) and rarely go into rough water -if you ever want to tag along LMK. | |
