Hey folks, never launched in cold salt water before and was considering waist high breathable waders.Any1 ever use them and are they a decent option? Looking to get out during the jamboree and dont want to break the bank. Also considering a streamlined wetsuit if not too expensive- drysuits and dry tops are out of the question right now. Im looking to keep the bottom half dry but need some range of motion to work the drive peddals. Any input would be great. Thanx

Exactly what I use with fleece pants underneath if cold enough, otherwise polyprop. long john bottoms under waders.

BLTAL - Walmart sells some inexpensive rain pants and jackets. They're breathable too. Wader/splash top is a great way to go. Keep in mind that its always best to avoid any and all cotton. A good way to go is a wicking layer like Under Armor or like, followed by fleece, followed by drywear. When sweat is able to sit against your skin, you will quickly start to lose body heat. The wicking layer will keep you dry AND warm.

I'll be in breathable waters and dry top too for the Jamboree. Look forward to seeing you there!

We'll be holding a rigging clinic and everyone will also be talking about their yaks and sharing ideas.
