Time to start watching the weather and water temps at Kipto. Va. It should be about 3 weeks and game on. I'm on vacation 12/2-12/11 and plan on going if things look good.
Anyone else going this year?

Absolutely! Waiting on the call from Kevin. If we can get enough interested, we can get the big lodge.

There are only a few definitely going so far and a lodge holds a ton of people. We are going to try and get a place for the week and rotate people in and out for weekday/weekend by when they can be there. Staying the whole week is cool too.

Its an idea borrowed from the way Jon and Joey ran trips before they sold KFS. This way everyonr can pick days and its first come, first serve. Others can pick around the dates and we all just pay the share of time we are there. They say it always worked out great.

Packing up the kayaks and headed for Kipto. Fishing Sun-Wed. Any advice appreciated as this is my first time there. Hope to see some folks out there too!
We're staying at Cherrystone campground. $22 per day for an electric site, hot showers and internet! 20 minutes from Kipto and hopefully a cow or two!!!

I have some advise. Never been there myself, just something I've heard..........
leave your vagina at home, I hear you have to be on the water to catch fish

The 1st day was very rough with seas 5-8 (guess) and winds 20-30 out of the ssw. There was a small craft advisory issued, so our options were limited. We opted to fish a lee of the concrete ships which wasn't too bad. Temps were about 28!!!
We each received some lazy hits, but no joy on day 1.

Noice report! I'll have to try it some day when it's warmer...
micro-wave & kurig does not imply roughing it EVEN if you're in a tent!
nice photo's! I ain't never seen nobody give a concrete bote an enema before; Mullet - thanks for the instructional! Additional thanks to "Camp Porter"; now I know just how much schitt one can fit in one's Element. Dude, that's a lot of schitt!!
