Opening Day Fluke Gathering

Subject: Opening Day Fluke Gathering Thu Apr 19, 2012 7:54 pm

Putting together an Opening Day Fluke fishing outing Sat, May 5th. The store may or may not be open to the public, but we can meet up and launch from there. The magic Fluke grounds are a short paddle. Open invite, but please Roll Call here so we have a head count.

The tides couldn't be more perfect to ride the current to the fishing grounds and to return. Launch 6am - 6:30am

I prefer small 1/2 oz bucktails tipped with berkley Gulp swimming Mullets in 4"

Thanks KJV- I have some bucktails and some uncle josh pork rinds- would that be good enough?

They should. If not I just picked up two bags of the swimming mullets so I have more than enough to go around if needed.

Hope it's warmer than it was this morning in Corson's inlet. 34 degrees at launch time. BRRRRR!

Thanks bud, I got 2 jars of pork rinds, so if you need any of those :) I also have some gup alive sand worms in blood "flavor" I can't seem to use them up- so if they will work any one is more than welcome to grab some.

The store will be stocked with bucktails, leader, and enough GULP! to fill a pickup.

As for natural baits and other rigs and stuff, we will be using Jersey Bait & Tackle to fill in the gaps until we are ready to hit the ground running. Linda offers the best bait around. (If you think bait is just bait, you've got some learnin' to do) She and the staff are great people. Jersey B & T is less than a mile from The Kayak Fishing Store too!

The store will be open for our group heading out Sat morning. We have a full supply of GULP!, buck tails and the largest selection of kayak accessories in all of south Jersey! We will be open to the public by Memorial Day Weekend.
