Nov 16 tog?

Subject: Nov 16 tog? Tue Nov 06, 2012 11:27 pm

So next Friday is the limit change for tog. Thinking of taking the mariners down with my dad and buddy don, and joe, to catch up the tog in the cape may inlet...anyone else wanna go? It would be a morning launch...8-9ish depending on tide, back by 2 as I have to work...looking to put a lil meat in the freezer for the holidays.

Launching below the toll bridge near the squid boats...hopefully around 8-9. Send me a txt so I can keep you in the loop 609- two three zero - 8258. Need to be off the water by 2ish so I can make it to work

Never had to paddle so hard to get nowhere... The current was rippin out there today. No fish lost a rod and my upper body feels like jelly. Havent felt this beat since basic....

Dude...I thought I was in good enough shape for this. I've ridden multiple century rides on my bikes and that current kicked my ass worse than any of those rides. I've never seen the current ripping that bad

Yea my arms,back,chest,and shoulders agree with you!! I think I'll hang up the yak for now until next year and just stick with my boat for now... My body will be happier with me ...

Seeing as the right boat hasn't come along yet (although I did just find a 48 ocean sportfish that looks promising)...and my dad won't anchor his boat that close to the rocks I'm stuck...lol. That being said, I may try next Sunday...the low is at 1130, so I can ride the tide in and out...much easier to get in that way...

Yea not a single nibble...and it wasn't just us no one had ANYTHING.

I was north of you, but yesterday was the same for tautog. Last night I marked a ton of fish everywhere i went but could only manage two tiny bass, tough bite. Can't believe the water is still this dirty.

I was thinking of trying this coming Sunday...but I really think the water will be too dirty still...
