Mystic island blues& striper

Hey everyone been awhile since I've been on the site, been out and about recently mainly in the mystic island Atlantic city area. Got out the other day launched at 4am out into great bay with flat calm waters paddled roughly 3 miles out into grassy channel and anchored up. I started chunking clams and within 20 minutes had my first striper 25" schoolie, soon after I hooked up with 2 more stripes but lost them kayak side. After about an hr on the water a large school of blues moved in and both the rods I had in the water went off, I was able to boat 6 blues up to 10 lbs. and lost another 4 or five. I soon moved on to try and find cleaner warmer water, by noon a dozen boats had moved into my area and the fish had seemed to turn off. I'm gonna get out later in the week to a spot where I know black drum are biting, hopefully the east wind calms down and I can get out and target them. I have piks but I still can not figure out how to post em if someone can xplain I will post em!!

So on this day of fish catching was you up at mystic islnads or down in AC?? where about do you launch when in the mystic area??

I was at mystic island, if u know the area that's where great bay and grassy channel are.. I have a few spots to launch from.. One being at the old coast guard base which puts u at the tip of LBI and brigantine there's quite a few spots to launch from in the area depending om where ure trying to fish!

The pic feature on this forum sucks. I'll try to put together a brief tutorial. It really is a pain!!!!

I'm gonna go up to mystic if the wind slows up by then I have a spot for striper n drum from a few locals they have been crushing them threw the week and I haven't got a chance to get there yet!! Let me know if u wanna go if not maybe I can tag along with u I heard good reportd from 2nd beach in herfords inlet!! And yey man the post pics is so damn hard I tried for 2 hours n gave up!!

Yes, Nwwd beaches and Stone Harbor are heating up fast. Tons of puppy drum and bass to 47" so far. It will continue to get better until June when it piques. I'm stuck fishing next to the store as we open at 8am 7 days. I usually fish 5am to 8am all around Nummy Island and yes, 2nd street too!!! Friday will be my first day on the water here!!!

You are always more than welcome to join any outing.

If the weather turns around towards the end of the week I will take the trip down and fish with ..

I might be fishing that area Friday morning as well, depending on the weather of course. I got a 37" striper there about 2 weeks ago, too bad I wasn't on the kayak..
