Sunday at Corson's Inlet Empty
PostSubject: Sunday at Corson's Inlet   Sunday at Corson's Inlet EmptyMon Jun 10, 2013 8:21 pm

Met 215angler at around 2 am. Launched shortly after. Tried to do some bass and weakie fishing at the bridge, too many lines in the water from the fisherman on land. Anchored up and tried to chum with some clam, hoping to get a bass or possibly a puppy drum....nada. 215 trolled a TnW with a few small hits but no takers. At sunup tmtfield met us and we fished the inlet for fluke. 215 had to go and that left myself and tmtfield to venture out for the flatties! Drifted for a while, tmt gets a sea robin, I hook up with a nice blue...in the box he goes. We proceeded to weed through the numerous short fluke while battling the gnats. I managed two nice fat 19 inch fluke for the dinner table. Great day of fishing with good people...looking forward to the next trip!

Thanks for the invite  KJV. It was nice to see some action on the Fluke even though the majority were short. I stayed out for another 45 min after you left. Was getting hits like crazy but only one more short. Jet ski's and boats were coming out of the woodwork. I began to feel like a speed bump so I got out of there pretty quick.

til next time

BTW:

The guy at the ramp suggested that I use the ramp to make loading up easier. Backed the car all the way to the water, loaded up, and No charge! (at least this time)

The prick at the ramp charged me the $12 since I had a trailer....no more launching there.  Heading out tomorrow to fish the same areas.
