Stripers must be Irish and belly up to a bar somewhere. They weren't at my secret spot. I launched at 10pm and was in by 12am. My stitches were rubbing on my drytop something awful and I only had two small hits, so I called it a night much earlier than planned. I was alone and something changed in the current patterns there over the winter. I didn't feel to comfy with the idea of getting dumped in cold water at night alone. I had a couple of "Pucker Factor 8.5" moments when the waves and eddies were grabbing the kayak. Tomorrow is supposed to be 66* and sunny. I'll try a daytime run then.

Hey Chris, I had a few spots I wanted to get to but had to cut it short also, as I was getting toss around a bit. Fished from 9:00pm to midnight. It settled down as the tide went out and I managed 3 shorties and 1 at 22.75 for some KW points. Now tomorrow night it's back to work for weekend Aargh Hope you get on them this weekend, Good Luck!
Tom

Congrats to you too Tom and thanks. It was one hell of a tide tonight. Wow. I think I'll try the same spot tomorrow. I wanna see what happened to the shoal to create such a crazy rip.
