| Glad to hear that you had a good time and caught fish. Thank you for the pic. I'll be using it in my report. I'll have the Pelican and the Elie on standby if you need one. Also, just received the Advanced Elements Straight Edge Angler Inflatable. It's cool! | |

| Hey guys, I think I may get down there and fish with y'all. I'm gonna try to fish the Duke of Fluke this year, but I dont have a clue about that area. This could be a good recon trip for me. Anybody fishing that tourney? I haven't seen anything on this site about it. | |

| The Duke is a good tourney and one hell of an after party with live bands and the works. I fished it for a few years and always had a good time.
The event is a mixed event with boats and that seems to be where the focus is. It's also a kill tournament which turns some of the kayakers off. In mid July down here, the water has warmed up to where most of the fish have moved to deeper and cooler temps offshore making bigger Fluke catches challenging for kayaks to reach.
Not that I'm bashing this event, I'm not. Like I said, it's a good event. Come on down and Charlie and I will be happy to show you some of the local honey holes.

| I've seen the last few years a 3lb class fish won it. Not unlike the Elks tourney-size wise. Whats the prize structure like? If nothing else, I'll grab a few points for KW and get a tune up for the Elks. Doesn't seem like your very hot on this one Chris, but let me know if you are gonna fish it. Thanks for the info. Hope to catch up to everyone on the 2nd. | |

| Yakinfool, nothing against the event at all. I'd even say that I recommend it. I just haven't found the camaraderie there that is found at other events. The Elks tourney is the only mixed event that I do. I Like the Elks event because the kayak division is separate from everything else. The times are different and the ceremony is held separate as well. Also, the money goes to charity it's not a profit event.
Seaflea, the launch is the Cape May Toll bridge by Borden's and Lunds next to the big commercial boats. We're launching from the shell pile and fishing right there. You've been there a couple of times in the past. Mullet might be able to draw you a picture if he can remember back to the days that he use to fish. 5am is a good start because of the holiday. The warriors will be up and fishing by the crack of 9am and we need to be careful after that. Let me know if you'll require your room.

| Had a great time seeing and fishing with everyone this weekend! Lunchbox, Seaflea, Mullet Miller, Josh, Gary, JPFish, Clamboni! We caught a few and had some laughs. A great weekend! Jeff's son managed to catch the first Weakfish that I've seen all year! It was a 10" spike, but it sure was a great catch!!! Saturday, we dodged boat traffic in Cape May, so we found a more remote area to fish Sunday and Monday. On Sunday, the forecast let us down by being about 5 hours off. We all braved torrential downpours and continued to fish through the far off thunder. Once the lightning started, we all got our kayaks up on plane and shot back to the launch. I think some of us had rooster tails. LOL!!! [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] | |
