New Rochelle Kayak Fishing Tournament - July 10th

The First Annual New Rochelle Marina Kayak Fishing Tournament Hosted by Hudson Park Bait and Tackle - Home of TidalTails Lures.
The First Annual New Rochelle Marina Kayak Fishing Tournament will be held on July 10th at Five Islands Park in New Rochelle. All fishing methods are allowed and there will be a separate fly-fishing division. The event is a catch and release format where anglers have to take a digital photo of fish to qualify for prizes. The event is geared both toward, the serious competitive kayak fisherman and the person who just wants to learn more about this fast growing sport and have a good time. All participants will be entitled to an after-tournament BBQ.
This tournament will be part of the 4-part East Coast Kayak Fishing Series where participants can enter their points to be eligible to be the Northeast Kayak Angler of the Year. The other tournaments are Jamaica Bay, Point Pleasant Elks Fluke Tournament and Cape Kayak Fishing Tournament. For more info go to www.eckfs.com
The City of New Rochelle has shown an increased awareness for the eco-friendly activities and promoted kayaking in the Lower Long Island Sound region. The surrounding areas are made up of rocky structures and small islands perfect for the kayak angler. The event is a catch and release format where anglers have to take a digital photo of fish to qualify for prizes.

All proceeds from this event go to Casting For Recovery.
