Any thing happening for this coming weekend may 12 or 13th?

I forgot this Sunday was mothers day. Any one fishing on Saturday?

I hope to fish Sat. Depends on the weather and the store. I'll know more as we get closer.

I was hoping to get out Friday if all goes well

now I may have to work on saturday, if that happens I will be going out on friday. Will keep you guys posted.

I would be up for some blues too. I need a fight! At 25 years old I caught a 35lb tuna. The trip was a work trip and all the rigs were 80lb mono- that wasn't a fight that was me dragging a 35lb weight through the water. Other than that the largest fish I have caught is a 4.5lb largemouth bass. I would love to tie into a 15lb anything (except a shark :)).

I have a "Honey Do" list that's the length of an arm! I'll be workin' on it this weekend. Gotta get the brownie points now 'cause the following weekend is Jamaica Bay... Plenty of season left to find the "Yellow-eyed Devils"!!
Check the tides - maybe you can hit Grassy Sound again... Good luck if ya do get out!

if you do the hook, where you planning on launching at and what time?

Rob, I'm thinking of launching out of Horseshoe Cove. There is a small lot to park there, so you have to get there early.
Also the camp ground is there that the boy scouts use and it can get filled up.
Hopefully they will not be there on Mothers day weekend.
I'll know better later in the week if it's a go for me.
I try to get there by 6:00am, as it is used by yakkers and birders too.

6 am is doable for me. I just looked up horsehoe cove and I am getting 1 hr 45 min. I would like to fish cape may because it's closer but if nothing is going on down there I would like to join you at the hook.

I hope to make it out on Sat morning. If I do it would be 6am to 8am thing. Turns out the store phone is ringing off the hook and my weekends are now spoken for.

I realize now I've got way too much stuff to do.
Sunday I'll be traveling most of the day, so all my weekend stuff needs to get done on Saturday.

I will likely be heading out around 6am unless someone wants to join me and needs a different time.

Rob, make sure you have a packet of PINK 4" swim minnows on a half-ounce lead head jig, doesn't have ta be a bucktail, just the lead & the hook. the ultimate in KISS! Find and fish the troughs, vary the speed of retrieve; I start real slow, bouncing the jig along the bottom... Target is weakies... Too many things on the Honey Do list or I'd join ya.
