Kayak Wars 2011

Charlie and I would like to do this again in 2011. Registration will start soon and we need to form up some teams. Please speak up so we can start grouping up. JCKF Teams currently hold 25% of the records for the Northeast Region. That ROCKS!

Please let us know if you are one of the following three so we can team you up with like minded people;

Serious competitor - You plan to fish twice a week or more for the win.

Moderate competitor - You fish once a week and plan to be active in the event

Interested for fun - You want to join in the fun with friend when you can.

Teams can be drawn out of a hat, voted on, psychic readings, whatever. Please feel free to elaborate or speak up on anything here. This is ultimately for fun and I really had a good time ribbing buddies last year.

I'm going in this year serious! I want to have fun first, but I want to put some pressure on our buddies at KFA!

Would be happy to participate. I would be able to fish 3xs per week. Hoping WURK2FSH AND KAYAK want to give it a shot. They taught me a lot about Kayak fishing and we make a pretty good team.

C'mon Frank, we know you're in the hardcore category! You kicked butt last year, even for coming in late. I think Charlie and I are going to make a mass email to everyone and we'll form the teams up then. Might take a week or two to get the teams formed up. Kayak wars start Feb 01. I hope to have everything set by then. I'm brushing up on my winter flounder knowledge now.

Is there a very serious category? Just kidding. If there is room on a serious team, I'd love to jump in. My bosses(at work and home) are very understanding of my 'fishing problem'. I get out alot. For me, the competition is fun, and it motivates me to get out more and try new things. I got in KW 2010 for the last month, and had a blast. I'd like to team up with some enthusiastic folks and go KFA hunting!

How about serious in spring and fall when there's real fish around and moderate the rest of the time.......

LOL he only has one and it's no secret! Just a matter of getting there first to fish it.

You want some new spots I have them for you........you just have to be willing to beat your yak up to get to some of them.........Plus answer your phone when I call you.

Hey guys ,you all forget me too fast. I was out to a good start last year and it seemed some had no interest till late and I was not following it by then.
Late in year saw that some starting entering again, but was in to them stripers too good on the boat to stop.
Anyway I got a group of guys that started fishing with me last year that purchased some outbacks and I hope you all would let us have a team. We all fish same area so would like to keep the 5 guys together.
I would like to stay a part of this site and make new friends and fishing buddies. Got to get off work this year for Jamaica bay weekend and everything.
I'll talk to them tonight about signing up.

I've been surf'n the kayak wars site for a week- the southern guys are already catching some nice fish. It aint right. My favorite striper spot was iced over last time I saw it. Gonna try the sweetwater sunday afternoon. A stream fed lake by my house has some open water. I'm hoping to find a dim witted perch or pickerel. Is this really what its come to? COME ON SPRING!
